Enduro OEM v0.19.0 Now Available
We’re excited to announce the release of Enduro OEM v0.19.0, bringing several key updates to enhance your Enduro riding experience.
Tyre verhaul
With this release, we’ve introduced a dedicated “OEM_EN” tyre system designed specifically for Enduro bikes. These tyres have similar characteristics to those developed for the recent MX OEM update, but with proper dimensions for Enduro riding. Expect improved grip, stability, and performance across all terrains, tailored to the unique demands of Enduro tracks compared to the prior version.
Bike Enhancements
The update revives older Enduro bikes with fresh improvements, incorporating key elements from the latest MX updates. Here’s what you can expect:
- Steering Improvements: Enhanced steering response to match the new tyre system, providing more precise control during technical sections.
- Temperature Management: Engine temperature handling has been fine-tuned to ensure smoother, more consistent performance during longer rides.
- Gear Shift Refinements: Gear changes now feel more realistic and fluid, offering better overall control during high-speed and low-speed maneuvers.
- Temporary Engine Damage Removal: Until the tyre collision detection is fixed, engine damage has been disabled to prevent unexpected race-ending failures.
- Improved Gears 4 and 5: The higher gears have been optimized to provide more power and usability, especially on faster sections.
- Stronger Rear Brake: Increased braking power has been added to the rear brake, giving you better control when descending steep slopes or navigating tight turns.
Additional Adjustments
- In-Game Naming: All bikes now follow the updated OEM naming convention, making it easier to locate and select. You’ll find them under the categories “E1 OEM” “E2 OEM” and “E3 OEM”.
- Idle and Auto Clutch Updates: We’ve improved the idle system and auto clutch functionality for smoother engagement and throttle response.
- Dyno and Limiter Tweaks: Further adjustments have been made to ensure consistent performance across all bikes.
- Sprocket Consistency: A uniform variety of sprockets is now available on all bikes for better tuning flexibility.
!! PLEASE DELETE ALL OLD “ENDURO” BIKES FROM YOUR MODS/BIKES/ FOLDER !!
You can copy over existing paints from the old ENDURO prefix bikes to the new E*OEM ones. But you don’t need to have both installed!
Known Issues
This update focuses on refining control and usability, ensuring that Enduro OEM continues to offer the best possible experience for technical off-road riding.
While we’re aware that the Enduro bikes are far from being perfect, we thought it’s utmost time to finally give them the overhaul they deserve. From our own testing, we did notice some “weird” or “spongy” behaviour here and there. Reason for that is that the bike’s geometry is far from what we’re doing these days on the MX equivalents. This is planned to be tackled in a future update. But for now, we’re pretty confident that this update makes the bikes usable again and revives some beloved enduro tracks.
