We want to give a huge shoutout to everyone who has been testing the preview bikes and providing valuable feedback. Your input is essential, and we couldn’t do this without you! Thank You for Your Support!

The feedback on MX OEM v0.19.0 Supporter Preview #2 was quite split, with many favouring Preview #1 and just as many preferring Preview #2. With Preview #3 we’ve worked hard to combine the best of both worlds into one solid package.

Looking forward to your feedback!

I’m in love with 1.19. Difference between 1.19 and 1.18 is huge. Bikes feel more realistic with power and grip.

hi
i am currently on preview 3 as a intermediate rider and tested the yz450 i have found that the bike feels nice and planted in corners while allowing the back to brake free and still feels controllable in corners. strait lines fool good handles bumps well and scrubs seem to be easier especially as someone who is still learning the technique.
the only criticism i have with the bike is when cornering (during entering or exiting) with a jump or roller the rear of the bike tends to have an instant loss of traction and with no chance of correcting it throws you off i have also found this in woops / rollers going through dead strait is ok but as soon as there is any movement there is no correcting it.
thanks

I think preview 1 was the best. yes it was a little slick but allowed you to fix mistakes. Also a little sad on how slow the bikes are making the hundreds of tracks we all have bought not to correct scale. My opinion, preview 1 with more power.

I love the preview. I went to some older tracks like JV Netherlands 2021 I think maybe 2022 but it felt amazing. the bikes handle sand great, yes the slide Is a bit much if you land sideways but to deal with that you just have to adapt your riding style. and as many other have said, its better to be neutral in most spots. the one thing these bikes do great is rut adaptation tho and if you turn up the erode its amazing. the reason why people are sliding is because they aren’t riding with erode on. the only thing I’m wondering is what is the difference between the regular tyres and the Enduro tyres?

The people complaining are the ones that lack throttle control and time in the game. Itll never be 100% 1:1 to real life but the OEM team has done a superb job of making the front end stable and allowing the rear end to be forgiving when sliding. The rotation of the bike through corners with just the throttle is amazing. It can use some adjustment but i feel the traction is excellent in terms of the transition from coming in and out of corners.

i dont have really anything else to say it seems we’re just getting further away from the natural feel the v1’s had and we’re mostly back to open throttle close throttle. also just cause you didn’t change the tire it’s self doesn’t mean what ever you did change didn’t affect the way things feel people can clearly feel it.

This is my 2 cents coming from someone who has about 500 hours in the game. I think that these tires have like 20 times the potential then the previous tires had but these are far from perfect. At higher speeds I actually like the way that these bikes take turns. The previous complaint I had on the 1rst preview is much better, where those bikes would just slide out as soon as any pressure was added. Now I feel like it’s the opposite. The bike feels really good when your turning and pressure is added, especially at higher speeds.(Maybe it happens do to increased wheel inertia?) On the first preview, I felt like I was skating around the banked high speed corners. In this version the really banked turns have a lot of traction but the slower, smaller ruts there is literally zero traction. Like when I wreck and I spawn perpendicular to the ruts I can’t get out without walking the bike, and if you turn while walking backwards It does a 360 with the front tire. I think ice has more traction then that. One thing I think that might help is wheel inertia in the back, as stated by some previous comments. I think that the rear of a bike would never just randomly fall from beneath you in real life, and its because of the wheel inertia If you don’t agree with me, that’s fine, I only have 500 hours so any opinion I have should be taken accordingly.

The fact that certain things are better on all 3 of the versions that are out gives me hope, and I really appreciate all of the work that gets put into these bikes by the OEM team.

The work of all the OEM staff has been incredible. But the way the bike slides in Preview 3 is completely ridiculous, it took all the fun out of the game, you simply can’t go over a hole or land so little on the side in a jump that the bike completely loses control. This is not realistic.
Okay, the bike turns off a little, but this way I believe they are putting a lot of people off the game!

i feel preview 1 was good only a bit slow, preview 2 was up to speed but a little more slippery and preview 3 i can not take a corner without slijding. i think preview 1 with a little more speed is the best sofar

Preview 2 felt the best imo, incredibly predictable slide and movement over bumps, I preffered v2 over even the beta 18 bikes, but these are so stiff and slidy, incredibly unfun, i found myself reinstalling the preview 2 bikes.

i did the same the the preview 3 was so rediculous and ruined all the fun of even riding for me . i reinstalled the preview 2 bikes . i still get frustrated but like i have hope .. but not if they are going to be like preview 3

Did not get to try the other previews but the v3 feels good, i like the power reduction on the 450’s, and the increased engine breaking. I think it needs a little more slip in the rear so that you can sling the back end around and cut down more in bowl turns in supercross. The added sound to the rev limiter sounds like the rattle of a chain linked fence after its been slammed with the latch down lol not a fan of that, real bikes don’t sound like that.

still garbage. the slip to the tires is just dumb. i get you guys are trying to go for “realism” but its a damn video game. leave it FUN and not insanely skill gapped. smh. Hope this drives MANY players away from the game because a few people are mad they are getting beat by unkown people because they cant keep up anymore. Cheerios garbage bikes hehe.

not trying to be negative but come on guys.. v1 is still the best there was everything you needed on 250s and 450s power wise and the “slip” worked perfectly for the power. if you compared laps times from real life to the game on current oems theyre astronomically faster like an average of 20 seconds faster a lap, v1s dropped that but even those were too fast.. I heard lots of people complain about not being able to clear anything, but im sorry to say thats a skill issue and an inability to carry momentum through a corner.. it was more real for once but now they’re just super fast again and slippery which is a horrible combo lol plus there’s no engine braking to control your revs on a down shift its either all or nothing. tbh these need alot of work and arent anywhere close to what needs to be released. i appreciate everything you guys are doing but lets get real. one positive on all of them is the front end is fantastic dont need much work there.

togfrfr

after several hours on all these bikes i honestly feel like the slip and catch in the rear actually felt the most realistic in v1, it was just way too much. with that same feel but the traction increased by 50% would be so much more realistic than the direction we are heading now imo. the side tire traction basically feels like riding on hard pack with a flat tire or mud even though almost every track right now is made with soft soil.

KingMX818

i want to add something, Keep in mind this is a video game, this is not IRL so you will never be able to emulate what kind of traction there is in IRL Because of all the different types of surfaces and the differences between moist red clay and bone dry red clay. there are massive differences in traction between those 2 dirts and you can have moist and dry spots on a track causing different traction in different areas of the track. i dont know if you have ever rode on moist red clay but it has TONS of traction! That is only 2 different types. there are all sorts of dirt in IRL that make your traction very. So if you are going for what its like to ride on a hard packed bone dry track, or a hard packed wet track, id say you nailed it.

i agree with this, i really do hope to see the bugs worked out and the game taken to another level, but its not even close right now. i hope we can at least find a solid middle ground for now that is still extremely fun to play. it would be a shame to see the game go to shit trying too hard to be like real life. always going to be a video game at the end of the day.

idk why you guys put the #1 preview tires back on. I think the tires on the #2 were pretty good they could still be a little bit more grippy in flat corners in stuff. I know yall are trying to be realistic and stuff, but i still think having more grip is better in my opion. I also think the engine breaking on the #2 bikes was really good for wheelies and helped the bike slow down more in corners. But the engine breaking on #3 bikes is really good too but i think the #2 bikes are the best so far in my opion, but keep up the good work i love what yall are doing though cant wait to see whats next.

if you actually read the change logs they have mentioned every time that the tires have not changed.

Meager

I think there is something to be said about stability/controllability when the rear steps out. irl the bikes rear tire is spinning creating stability while stepping out. This is also aided by the irl rear tire still providing drive, forward, even if its spinning. I believe a smoother loss of lateral traction, plus more forward drive while “stepped-out” will give us more freedom to “steer with the throttle”. right now when the rear steps out you loose forward momentum. Or at the best you’re on a knife’s edge with the rear stepped out. It shouldn’t be “easy” to steer with the throttle, but anyone who is competent on a bike irl knows it’s not hard, either.
The OEM team is mx bikes, thanks for all the work.

Honestly the feel of the bikes are great now. This version of the bikes has left me puzzled regarding the rear end. I think the rear break needs some work, the back wheel will lock up when watching it back in replay but it feels like its still moving forward.

KingMX818

Power is better, the front feels really good but i just cant with the rear end. In some aspects it feels great like coming into a turn and being able to back it in to a turn but in other aspects it is not good like turning up an incline and landing sideways it just looses it. I personally dont find them enjoyable to ride as much as i do the current bikes we have now. The preview 2 bikes were better than this. I dont play the game to compete in ARL races i play to have fun and this isnt that fun to me.

Reaper12

In all honesty I may be one of the only ones with this opinion but I think the 2nd bikes felt pretty good. There were some things that got frustrating but I think its part of the learning curve with different bikes. One thing was sliding out on faces of jumps which causes an accidental 360. It could most definitely be a skill issue I will admit but some corners that you can cut to hit such as the jump into the stadium area of Fort Red that leads to a 180 turn. Could for sure be a skill issue but other than that the bikes felt amazing. These latest preview #3 bikes almost feel more like the B18 OEM’s we currently have but there’s a fine line where the side knobbies will not bite at all and slide out completely whereas the preview #2 bikes would allow you to slide in bowl turns due to there being a much broader part of the side knobbies that let you slide but also bite to not allow you to slide out. Just my opinion I guess on the matter I don’t know if anyone would share that same opinion. I’m excited to see where these bikes will end up though.

ok something feels weird about preview 3 and I think troy found it in his video about p3. it honestly feels worse then p2 to me personally I think it has something to do with tire bite

I do like these a more than preview 2, and I like the power changes you guys made from preview 1 to 2-3, 250s especially needed that extra pep, they feel more realistic now in how they rev up in low gears and how they pull in high gears. However, I know ya’ll said the tires are the same from preview 1, but something just feels a little off, idk if the tire load is still somewhere between 1-2 or what. I did notice there’s like a 20 kb difference in the file size or the preview 3 tires (23,346 kb), and preview 1 (23,366). Idk if that means anything just noticed it, but yeah I feel like these need just a little less rear wheel traction, they just like to catch at odd times. Definitely would take these over preview 2 tho! Preview 1 was great other than the bikes being a little too slow, that yz240f couldn’t clear the leap on 2024 ARL redbud, but with the preview 3 bike it clears it with room to spare

I think the first set of previews is the way to go with the speeds of the preview 2’s. Increasing the speed to the normal public bikes is silly and not needed.

First off, I just want to thank the whole OEM team! you guys are killing it!

So after 30 minutes of riding the new previews(GasGas 250f), I actually do like the slip from preview #1 better than the more grippy preview #2! with that being said you slide out more and it’s super hard to rail rollers that turn like on FLOWVILLA or MILLVILLE, and turning in general.

HOWEVER, I found out the instead of counter leaning, lean your RIDER in the same direction you TURN. This makes it harder to turn, yes, but you can rail corners and rollers while turning without wadding the bike out!! Adapting to these bikes won’t be so hard after all! haha.

Besides that, the power to slip ratio I think is perfect! Can’t wait for preview #4 the finale!! Keep it up oem team!

The bikes feel great!! The less tractions is awesome to bring some actual skill to the bikes rather than 5th tapped. However I did notice on the gasgas 450 that when in high rpms it makes a noise similar to the stark varg when wide open. Not sure if this is designed but its a little bit of an annoying noise.

Bikes handle way better.

Personally id like a little more traction on rear on the sides, but if they fix the current tracks being so rough the sides of the tyres can stay how they are.

I wish all bikes was the same like sim so we would see more of a variety of bikes and not just a couple of bikes.

Front end feels the best it ever has done for sure.

The 450s and 250s need to split for power as the 250 can currently do everything a 450 can do on current OEMS. Which big boy lines should be for 450s only and not for both I would say.

Other than that bikes are heading in correct direction and cant wait for final release1

Thanks guys

but we have deegan out here hitting the big boy lines on a 250 before the 450s even did it and Jett used to do the same. the bikes are more than fast enough to do it but its the balls to go for it that is rare, and in a video game there is no risk factor involved therefore the boundaries are always going to be pushed. im not saying the 250s and 450s should be the same speed or anything i just wanted to point that out.

Bikes feels pretty good. I would love to see a little bit less tracktion on the side of the rear tire, but keep the current traktion on the middle. that way we could cut corners more in supercross and still be able to hit the line if you straighten your bike up. You would also be more awarded hitting a rut rather then not because if you are in the rut the tire gets tracktion on the middle of the tire. Could we get a preview with that to test? Just for the record, I find the game 5 times more fun know with these bikes. great work OEM Team.
